Very top quality workmanship from start to finish. Very responsive to all questions. Highly recommended. Much more knowledgeable than more generic bath and kitchen remodelers. Quality of kitchen counter installation even observed by other trade professionals such as plumbers.

I found Charlie from a friend for replacing my countertop and building a new one by the window. He did a won job on the countertop. I also ask him to make a hole on my kitchen island so I can it a green waste compost bin. I gave him a wrong part of the bin so the hole he made did not fit. Luckily the hole was smaller than what it should be. He was very kind to go back to his workshop with the right part to cut the hole again. Then I ask him to install a magnet to hang my knives on the wall. He had to go to home depot to get masonry drill bits twice to get the job done. He really made my kitchen so much better than before. I am happy with the results. Highly recommend him to all my friends.

I didn't use them personally, but only because they didn't have what I needed. Regardless, they were very honest and informative, and there's no doubt I would have used them if they had what I was looking for.

I called this company to see if I could look at countertop samples for a house in another part of the country. Even though he was in the middle of construction in his new showroom and he knew this wouldn't be a sale for him, Charlie graciously welcomed me. I'll think of him first and only when I shop for my own house.

Charlie was incredibly helpful and worked with our budget. He recommended products to within our price range. The installation was quick. They were on time and were able to fit us into a short time frame. I would highly recommend them!

Tops of the Town just installed a new laminate counter top in my kitchen. The whole process took just two weeks. I already had my old counter top off, but Tops will remove them, as well as disconnect and reconnect the faucets and dishwasher (and install the sink of course). When I last replaced the counter top, I had to get a plumber in for the faucet. Overall, Tops of the Town did a great job for a reasonable price. The new counter top looks fantastic.

Charlie Nichols did a terrific job and was unfailingly pleasant to work with. We chose Krion solid surface -- same type of material as Corian; it looks beautiful AND no visible seams. We were especially pleased -- and, okay, relieved, since we'd never used his company, nor had any of our friends because more people around here these days prefer granite -- that he got an odd-shaped table of my own design exactly right.

We are on our second house/fourth countertop and I can't say enough good things about Charlie Nichols. His service is superb. He cares as much about your house looking good as you do. He is a sweetheart to deal with and totally ethical. Today he came by to check on some marks on my new countertop. He could have told me over the phone to try a little acetone but he insisted on coming by in person so he could take care of it himself. We have two countertops to go and I will be relieved when all this reno is done but will be sorry not to have more opportunities to do business with Charlie Nichols and Tops of the Town.

Charlie is great to work with. I had existing countertop refabricated to fit a new space. They did a great job. They did get super busy later on, but entirely our fault because our schedule was so drawn out. He actually held onto our material for almost a year I think. I was very pleased with the end product.

Description of work: Remounted an undermount sink that had become detached from the corian countertop after many years.

Charlie patiently described what was likely going to need to be done to repair the sink, and estimated likely hours required. It required several return visits to complete the repair. He was responsive for this relatively small request, and this was much appreciated. When we experienced some small issues later, he worked to resolve them.

This is the second time we've used this company. Charlie Nichols is terrific. Patient and knowledgeable. We needed an unusual color in both instances - colors that are not usually popular with homeowners. In the first case, he happened to have a remnant so that saved us a bit of money. No such luck the second time. But his craftsmanship and customer service are superb. He's a great guy and I strongly recommend this company.

Bought a remnant piece of Corian at Community Forklift and these guys made a great bathroom countertop at a good price.

Description of work: Charlie Nicoles was the fabricator for our Quartz Counter top. He and 2 of his men installed the counter top. They also installed a new sink, faucet, soap dispenser, garbage disposal and the stove. He had to install a new electric plug for the range as our old one was 35 yrs. old and had been hard wired. He realigned a hose from the old dishwasher that I kept at this time. We had been having trouble with overflow of water at the overflow valve on the counter. It worked!!! I am so delighted about this.

I have learned that it would probably be easier to gut the kitchen and start with all new everything. However, I am not about to change my cabinets as they are really of good quality and look great. They worked with it. Charlie Nicoles had to remove the new counter top on one side to make it just as I wanted it. I am talking about 1/8th of an inch. I knew it wasn't much but was over to a door jam too far for me. They shaved it down and reinstalled. I know the thing was very heavy but they did a great job. As he said, he didn't want me to have sleepless nights. I liked the way he checked with us to show us things. Example: I had been reading the stove instruction booklet and saw where there should be safety lock installed on the floor so the stove could not tip. I questioned him about it and they showed me where they had installed it. I guess you can say it is having a peace of mind for us. We knew we had to do something to the kitchen and feel so glad we found out about Tops of the Town. This is the only place we went to from the beginning. Felt comfortable with Charlie and went for it. I hope this helps someone else.

Description of work: Charlie Nichols and his crew replaced three countertops. One was on an island in the kitchen, and the other two were bathroom sinks. All were Corian. They removed the old units and did all the plumbing and electrical work, including moving a Jennair cook top in the kitchen island. The sinks included integral back and side splashes.

Work went very well. The crew arrived on time and were extremely neat and courteous. They placed drop cloths everywhere that they worked, and they were absolutely no bother to us. We provided new faucet sets for the bathrooms, and Charlie provided everything that was not included in the standard sets. They finished the job with the sinks after about half a day, and then they took the old countertop from the island back to their shop to match the cutout in the new counter top. Then they returned the next day and installed the new counter top on the island and re-installed the Jennair cook top. Charlie ran into a problem with a shut-off valve in one of the bathrooms, and he replaced it with a new one. This required shutting the main water valve to the house, but he did the work quickly enough that it was no bother to us. That sink also gave us a bit of a problem with a leak through the drain, but Charlie came back immediately and fixed it. He is extremely responsive and professional. The bottom line is that we are very happy with both the product and the service, and we would certainly recommend Charlie to anyone who wants a counter top. He was a real pleasure to deal with, both personally and professionally.

Terrific company! I needed a small piece of corian for a bathroom. Other companies would sell me only a sheet or half sheet. Tops sold me what I needed and the installation was perfect and professional and the price reasonable. Definitely recommend them and I am buying a house that needs a new kitchen and I'll be going to Tops of the Town first because I really liked the way they did business.

They are awesome and they are really good. I would recommend them and they are friendly, efficient, and they do really good work. They do a great job with clean up and I would just recommend using them. I would use them again in a heartbeat and I have recommended them to people.

I considered price in selecting a counter surface, but found it too difficult to compare prices for installation. That said, I was very pleased with all my interactions with the owner (Charlie) and his work crews in the installation of my Cambria countertops. Charlie gives reasoned advice, didn't rush me through a hard sell, took the time to get every detail right. I would definitely use him again if I ever have another need for a countertop.

Description of work: Removed old Formica counter top, sink, faucet, and disposal. Replaced with new Formica counter top, sink, faucet unit. Reinstalled previous disposal. Carted away old counter top, sink and faucet.

The experience went very well. At first, I didn't want to purchase a new sink, but the rep showed me the old one and how the gasket around the edge had crumbled (it was a 30-year-old stainless-steel sink). Their price included a new stainless-steel sink. During the job, it became apparent that the faucet would have to be replaced, as well, for pretty much the same reason as the sink. I bought a faucet at Home Depot, while the team worked on the counter top proper. They cut a hole in the corner to allow a cord for the toaster to come through, and put a cap to go around the cord. They installed the faucet (what a difference new chrome makes!), the sink, the counter top and replaced the disposal so that everything looks very tidy. No leaks at all. Their caulking is excellent. I am very pleased with the job they did and would definitely hire them again. Their price was quite reasonable, and the workmen were polite, knowledgeable and professional.
